Rubber Process Oil

Rubber Process Oils

Rubber process oils are extracted from petroleum or crude oil, once the more volatile petrol and the heating oil fractions have been differentiated through distillations. Rubber process oils are made of paraffin, naphthalene, and other such aromatic compounds of varying molecular weight distribution.

Rubber process oils, as the name suggests, are used primarily as a processing oil in rubber products manufacturing, during the mixing of rubber compounds. They improve the processing ability and filter incorporation as a plasticizer, or act as an extender.

When it comes to rubber process oil specifications, they can be separated into three basic groups, based on the arrangement of the carbon atoms within them. These three groups would be:

Aromatic Rubber Process Oils:
Aromatic rubber process oils are generally dark in colour, and they are compatible with most rubber polymers. Aromatic process oils are extensively used in the manufacture of automobile tyres, tread rubber, conveyor belts, automotive components, floor mats, etc., where the colour of the finished product is not important.

Paraffinic Rubber Process Oils:
Paraffinic Oils are usually light in colour and have a wide viscosity range and higher aniline and flash points. They are used in the manufacturing of butyl tubes and EPDM-based rubber products, such as profiles, hosepipes, and automotive components.

Naphthenic Rubber Process Oils:
Naphthenic Oil has good colour stability, solubility, and thermal stability. It is extensively used in the manufacturing of footwear, LPG tubes, hot-water bags, and moulded and extruded products.

Gandhar Oil Refinery, as a rubber process oil manufacturing company among other things, produces all three of the above mentioned rubber process oil specifications, and more.

Gandhar Oil Refinery, as One of the Leading Rubber Process Oil Manufacturers Across the Globe, Offers a Range of Products in RPO

Gandhar Oil holds a place among the best global rubber oil suppliers. Aside from the basic types of rubber process oil mentioned above, we manufacture low-PCA oils: new-generation oils that meet European Union requirements. They are used to manufacture automobile tyres, tread rubber, conveyor belts, automotive components, floor mats, etc., where the colour of the final product is not an issue.

Products we offer in RPO include:

Aromatic Oil

Paraffinic Oil

Naphthenic Oil

Usage Of Rubber Process Oils

Rubber process oils act as internal lubricants; some of the many uses of rubber process oils include:

  • They work to improve the blending of the rubber formulations
  • Rubber process oils allow for the integration of fillers and other additives
  • RPOs improve various physical characteristics
  • Rubber process oils also act as low-cost extenders
  • RPOs lower energy consumption
Why Gandhar Oil is one of the Best Known Rubber Oil Manufacturers Across the World

Gandhar Oil Refinery manufactures a wide range of standard as well as customised Rubber Process Oils (RPOs) under the Divyol brand name to cater to the requirements of the rubber industry. These oils possess superior solvency with excellent oxidation stability and ageing for critical processes, which is why they’re compatible with a wide range of rubber polymers. Our products cater to international quality standards. The fact that we’re trusted by megacorporations across the world known for excellence in their respective industries says more than enough about why Gandhar is ranked among the best of the best when it comes to rubber process oil distributors.
